Extracurricular Activities
As shy as I am, I did not join a handful of extracurricular activities. However, the clubs and classes that I did join were phenomenal experiences. I feel these activities are important because they allowed me to open myself up to totally new environments and to learn. I gained new knowledge in areas such as school, life and also the lives and ideas of my peers. I am truly grateful for the experiences I have learned from.
Future Business Leaders of AmericaThis club is a club for students whom are interested in being in business at some point in their lives or career. There are different topics you can choose to learn about in this club. The topic is chosen by you and what your area of business would be. Once you have gained intense knowledge on your desired subject, you go to a conference to test on the subject. If you place within the top three places on that subject you will be eligible to go to the state conference, which is huge. I studied personal finance when I joined. I learned about how to care for your finances, how to save money and how to know what is going on with your finances. This is important in life and is something you do not learn sitting in a classroom taking notes. This is something you learn by taking your education by its hand and leading it to growth.

LeadershipLeadership is an elective class in school. However, this class goes beyond school hours and the school building and expands to our community. Through this class I have become more open, compassionate and helpful. I have successfully learned how to come up with new ways to help my community as well as those around me. Not only has it taught me to be caring, but also that there is hard workers behind everything. We were in charge of putting together rallies, food days, assemblies, and even local dinners. I have now truly become more aware as well as thankful for the people willing to put time and effort to make something so special. I am happy to say this club has been the experience of a lifetime. I will be a better person because of this club.
